Schools We Serve

Tamassee-Salem Elementary School (TSES) is located on Hwy 11, just a few miles from our Cliffs community. The school serves 278 students from Salem and Tamassee and approximately 80% of these students qualify for free or reduced lunch. TSES is a model of cleanliness and order. A devoted staff provides an excellent learning environment. The mission of the school is to provide a safe learning environment where all students reach their full potential. The students and staff are proud of being recognized as a Relay for Life School.

NEXT School Eagle Ridge MS/HS  is located 5 miles south of The Cliffs, off of Highway 130, in Northeastern Oconee County in the town of Salem, SC. The new Charter school uses a Project Impact Learning approach and leverages technology for group collaboration and community involvement (through mentoring and tutoring opportunities). We will focus on technology support, increasing the number of CRO volunteers who are actively working on projects and will provide gap funding for various projects during their first year.

Tamassee DAR School is located on Hwy 11, just a few miles from our Cliffs community. Tamassee DAR is a private 501(c)(3) non-profit children’s home and family services organization offering multi-faceted programs to serve children and families with a variety of needs. Tamassee DAR School is one of only two DAR Schools nationally. It was established in 1919 by the South Carolina Daughters of the American Revolution. It was also recognized by the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution as a DAR School in 1924, with the objective of providing an opportunity for a formal education†to children in the rural Appalachian Mountains. Their mission is to support children and families in crisis through residential, educational, and outreach services.† The school serves 60 children in grades K-12.

Six Mile Elementary School (SMES) is located at 777 North Main St., Six Mile, SC, near our Cliffs Springs community. The school is this year celebrating 25 years at this location. Six Mile Elementary has about 500 students in K – 5th grade of which 47% receive free or reduced lunch. The mission is to provide a quality education that will encourage achievement for all in a safe and caring environment. The school was a SDE Palmetto Gold Award Recipient in 2013.
